CAMILHA CONTRERAS (@cami.mov) is a Colombian-American experienced Production Manager, 1st AD and Producer based in Los Angeles, California.

Camilha’s father shared his love of cameras and cinema with his daughter from an early age, igniting her curiosity in the medium. At three years old, she began to learn the power of perspective when she immigrated to New York City from Bogotá, Colombia with her father. By 14, she had already moved through four states and more than ten times and learned the power of perspective throughout each experience. Around this time, she found the medium for her love of storytelling through the moving image when she had to film a skit for her spanish class in high school; she learned the power of camera movement, editing, and sound. Camilha attended Art Center College of Design’s film program where she found her strength in production and earned her B.F.A with Honors in Film Production. Camilha finds purpose in sharing authentic stories from often marginalized or overlooked perspectives and is inspired by films such as Get Out and Everything Everywhere All At Once. Camilha hopes to bring an awareness, love and dedication to all the work she has the honor of bringing to life.

Camilha Contreras has worked with a variety of productions for companies including Tilta, Black Dog Films, Color Creative, Rattling Stick and Long/Division and clients such as BetterHelp, Round Table Pizza, Warner Records and Sony Music.
